Trond Asmyr
Trond has been a judge for some 30 years, becoming an FEI ”I” Judge about fifteen years ago. He is living in Oslo, Norway. The judging has brought him around Europe, Asia, Africa and America. The FEI has trusted him many times to judge their Challenge Tour, which includes countries not normally having international shows. Instead of bringing the horses and riders to one showground, the judges travel to the various countries. In addition he judges numerous CDI’s, CDIOs, and CDI-Ws and selections every year (final US selection to WEG 2002, final US selection to WC Final 2005), including the European Championships for Young Riders. Unfortunately, Trond had to give up his own riding some years ago, due to lack of time. Trond is Vice Chairman of the Board of the Norwegian Equestrian Federation and also member of the judges’ committee. When not busy in the equestrian world, he works for Sabra Tours, a local Norwegian tour operator. |

I live in St-Constant, Quebec, in an old cottage (circa 1818), surrounded by my horse, pony, dog and two cats.
I have been involved with horses since childhood (helping my father show his Canadian horses at the fair), and have participated in three-day eventing, fox hunting and dressage events. Enroling in clinics and riding with my instructor led me to become an Equine Canada Steward. I presently work as a receptionist in a large law firm in Montreal, and spend most of my spare time riding my Trakerner mare. |
